Prisons Department's Food Counter - How to Bring More Publicity

Prisons Department's Food Counter ( Price Menu)

I've a problem! I blog about anything that crosses my path. It could be a random pic from my mobile, or a social media update or just about anything!

So, this post is about the Prisons Department's Food Counter and the menu list. It was shared on a Facebook Group (EAT - Eat At Trivandrum)

So, based on the comments on the post, let me give my input:

1. 5 ചപ്പാത്തി, ചിക്കൻ കറി ₹ 40???

I feel the price could be raised a bit more higher. For example, 1 or 2 Rs more for the chappati. So, what to with the extra rupee or so. Try to add more flavor or taste. Same with chicken curry. I feel the price could be made to Rs 49 for the combo offer. What say?

2.  though the meal wasn’t particularly outstanding in taste, it... ( A comment on the thread)

An extra rupee earned can be used to make the curry taste good. Btw, do they pack these food in eco-friendly packets made of recycled newspaper.

3. Many people have questions about the location of their mobile take away counter.... ( where exactly in Medical college? Is it available in morning there?)

Solution: Create a Whatsapp group or Facebook page - ( Give the task of updating content to CDIT ( students) or students who are taking digital marketing course at Keltron.Vellayambalam.

So, the students will get to work on a real project. They will share daily updates on the location, create a menu for sharing, also, provide a location map so that it's can be shared on other groups like Eat at Trivandrum or WIT, etc.

I some times wonder, why it's so hard for organizations like this, to use online medium to share their services. At least, when FREE options are available. ( Getting students to do free marketing for a unit)

Also, students will create a poster with QR Code ( asking People to Follow Fb page) or Whatsapp! This can be pasted on the side of the take-away van!

P.S - Along with the food sold, they can sell eco-friendly covers made at the prison! What say? How about using newspaper to make one-time use covers, or even use hyacinth plant to make papers, which can be used for different other crafts or could be sold as hand-made paper.

Also, the good old vintage type of bags could be made from plastic. This also, could give chance for prisiners to use this skill to earn livelihood after then get released from prison.

Btw, here's another post about how prisoners in US and other countries engage to produce various items for sale.
