| Big Tuna Head |
Well, it's a Saturday. It's a day in the week that gives soo much relief from working in a typical 9 to 5 job. As I write, I was thinking how I would I have felt when I was working in that routine.
.Now that I'm without a 9 to 5 job, I'm left out of that happy weekend feeling.
Today I wanted to start a new productivity method - time boxing. However, I was bogged with the usual chorus that this too got sidelined!
Ys, you heard it right. First day of time boxing, boxed at the box office. ( Just saying)
Okay.
Today the epiphany was from the pic you see above. It's from a nearby fish shop (Go Fish). This visibly large tuna head had caught my attention.This one head would weigh more than 5 kg. Man, that's huge!
So, I casually asked the shop assistant about it and he said there are people who love to buy such big heads! And, I then remarked to him that it would be great if they can start a Whatsapp group for just promoting fish heads to regular fish head buyers! He gave a vague answer. So, I left him with that explanation!
Building a Group Sale Effort Through Whatsapp
After I asked this question of starting a fish head group for his shop, I thought it would be great if there was a whatsapp group where other fish shops are given admin rights to post pictures of fish head. Doesn't that sound another cool idea - a collective group for the benefit of all shop keepers!
Just imagine of such a group! Couple of fish vendors join to create a whatsapp group to promote fish head. Wow! Just to sell fish heads! It will be the one-and-one of its kind of group in Whatsapp! Imagine the delight of a fish head lover when he or she goes through that group.
Yes, you heard me right! The independent fish stores can share the pic of the fish head, price, contact information on how to buy or book or pay it online. ( Also, provide information about delivery and if delivery can be made through Swiggy Genie or Porter App)
So as per this plan, Go fish, Blue Sea Fish, King Fish, Achayana's Fish Store at Koravankonam, Kunnil Hypermarket at Medical College and one near Koravankonam, fish vendor in Connemara market and any other independent or govt run Matyafed stores can join in this Whatsapp group of fish head sellers!
Does it sound like a good idea or a bad idea? Is there such demand for fish head! Even if there's not much demand, there's nothing to loose for fish stores!
It's time biz people come together to create new markets or to reach wider audience.

Place to Prepare Fish Head in the Open Space? Is there a Spot in Trivandrum?
Apart from the sales point of view, I was thinking of another scenario! What if there's a place near Trivanrdrum, ( inside 40km), where we can take a fish head like this and get it cooked. This place must be in a scenic location, with a view either of the ocean, or lake or mountain or backwater or just green surroundings.
So, anyone who has such a site can offer place to cook the fish, a table for having a group food session. It would be great if they can even get an expert cook to do the cooking for the guest. The guest will also get a place to rest, a clean restroom, vehicle parking facility.
Along with fish curry, they can have beer or other drinks.
Oh,that would be a jolly good experience!
What say! It could be ideal for old boys meet, club meeting, friends meet, all girls day out, veterans meet, foodies meet, food and date meetup, etc.
Btw, along with the fish head cooking, they can also make kappa curry, rice, fish fry, etc. Choice is up to the patrons.
