India set to Start 211 (poverty hotline) Call or Essential Community Services | Hindustan Way

While browsing, I read a comment on reditt about a reference to hotline service for people in United States. Oh, that's a cool idea for implemention in India. Probably, Mr Modi should be informed of such a cool idea. Imagine, a phone number where any Indian can dial for help - the topics are listed down. It's a good feeling that there's always someone you can reach out when you're seeking help!

Well, the question is how can a nation as big as India provide a listening post to hear their grievances! I feel that can be done. At least that could be tried out!

The whole idea is creating a 24/7 call centre with a unique national number. Just like we have 100 for police, this number is for people to call and get support for many their life's issues.

Imagine, a map of India, where most of the needs of the poor people are posted in a geographical way. In that way, what can happen is that people in that locality can volunteer to fulfill the needs. Well, that's what I think!

What are the requests that are likely to come in such a Community Services Call?

Why haven't Mr Modi thought of such a HOTLINE for citizens to avail Community Services!

I guess I have to write to our Prime Minister Mr Modi Ji, so that this plan will be executed. I guess he's the only PM who has launched many projects in a short duration. Well, this is an innovative way to setup a national hotline number or hotline number for each state to address the problems faced by the citizens.

Well, I can also send a mail to Mr Pirinai Vijayan to see if this idea find s away to their kitty. I see a lot of goodwill when such an idea is implemented. But, the question is that, who will implement it and when?

Btw, in Kerala this government has recently started a quality assessment program, called Nanma. On the same lines, this helpline number could be started with the same name - NANMA! ( Help Line). Probably, it can be named as Nanma 2.0

I like the word, Nanma! What do you think?

Conclusion:

Calls, web chats, emails, and texts from individuals facing crises or needing everyday assistance should be handled round-the-clock. This 24/7 support is free, confidential, and accessible in over all Indian  languages, ensuring help is always within reach. Also, it's a listening post for all grievences of the citizens.

I feel every citizen needs a space to share their worries, fears and threats. What do you think?
