Village Officer's Diary Kurupukal

Just during my afternoon siesta I was thinking of this... a person whom I knew asked a doubt about legal heirship certificate . And, then there was another person who had a doubt about paying land tax which wasn't paid for a long time. Also, a person called me to know about a property in Trichur and her claim on that, while her late husband's brother was trying some influence to get a big share on it!

A Million Doubts People Have About Land Ownership/Transfer/Tax and Other Revenue Details

If you have a heart to help people, guide them and also find happiness in providing right solutions, then here's a proposition for you. It's about starting a blog which will answer almost all burning questions and answers to the questions relating to land ownership, or land transfer, land disputes, etc.

Topics which can go in a blog post, could be anything related to land buying, ownership transfer, etc. Some of topics for blog posts can include:

1. How to obtain legal heirship certificate? Who all are the legal heirs?
2. How to get the land transferred to my name
3. What documents are required for ROR and what does it mean?
4. What is the procedure to apply for area alteration?
5. How such I pay property tax or luxury tax online
6. If I loose the land tax receipt, how can I get another copy
7. What happens when someone else pays my land tax without my knowledge?
8. What is poku varavu? Explain it as if you're making a five year old understand it?
9. What is digital survey? Is this going to be more accurate and which number to contact?
10. and many other topics.

Blog on all topics about land Revenue and Survey Matters!

When a blog talks of all these topics, it will slowly attract traffic and with traffic brings people who are looking for answers to various questions. Out of the visitors, there are chances that many will ask for guidance. This is where, a blog can turn to be a guide, a problem solver to many.

So, a person with an intention to help people or willing to monetize his or her knowledge on this topic can also start a 45 min consultation for any given topic. ( It could be a free or paid)

Guidance on Land Matters

I'm sure there are many who are in Kerala and outside of Kerala, who wouldn't mind paying money to get the right guidance on a topic. It could be about their property, it's ownership, or about buying a new property and checking its ownership, title, and encumbrance or other lien on the property. Or an NRI would be interested in checking

So, looking at the scale of confusion, doubts in the topic around land, property transfer, etc, there's a big potential for people for earn at least Rs 3k in a day, just by answering the questions.

What do you think of this?
Do you think it will work?

So, if you're working in Revenue depart or Survey, and you have a deep understanding of the topic, then you can start a blog today itself.

If you need help to start a blog, or a Facebook Page or Instagram account, then I can help you. I charge Rs 3,500 for a session to get you started with a blog and Facebook page.

Also, I will guide you on how to create posters using Canva app.

Side Income for Employees

So, this could be a side income for Village Officers, Deputy Tahsildars, Tahsildars and even entry level clerks. ( Though govt employees are not supposed to work outside or start a Youtube channel, you can start on someone else name and start using your knowledge, learning to make money and more importantly help public with the right advice). Why on earth should you keep your knowledge to yourself. Help people looking for solution!

Thought I have mentioned about earning side income, you can also provide services free of cost to people and they will thank you for it. And, good karma will follow you back!

Curious Konnections

P.S - I wonder why Govt of Kerala has issued a notification that people should not own or start a YouTube channel! One reason is that there are few smart ones, who are monetizing this channel, sharing. Why only YouTube. It also should blog, Facebook Page, Instagram, and what not!
( All these sounds absurd, esp when you look at the big picture)

Second Income for Govt Employees

Probably, govt employees with specific knowledge on a topic can start a blog, or YouTube channel and then use that channel to make money. And, if they make sufficient money, then they can leave Govt job and focus on it fully. That's also another way of looking at it.

Or, a person who is about to retire in a year's time can start a blog on topics related to what I had shared above. And, after retirement, this blog with good traffic and information will supplement his income. What say about this idea!

Btw, this could work in many different fields of life.

Village Officer's Daily Struggle - How to monetize the Struggle

I personally know two villages officers whose passed away while serving as VO. One person, committed suicide, another passed due to cardiac arrest. I wonder if there's a statistics on the total number of people in this cadre who had health issues due to stress at work! or who has taken life during the course of their role as VO.

In a way, no one likes to discuss these topics as this will open many other issues. Also, what's the overall value given by the society or the employer. If a person dies in his service, the normal course of activity is to get a dependent a job. Other than, that the loss is loos for the family and other close members.

So, I now propose a bit different way of combating the stressful life of Village Officer and see the bright things of the job!

There's a rule that forbids a govt employee to make side income from any other source while he is employed. So, with his hands tied, he or she can look for a different route to monetize the knowledge in this domain.

Here's the modus operandi for Village Officer's Spouse to earn more than 50k a month through problem solving, guidance and generosity

It's simple. But, it's hard journey for a year where you should learn a lot about many topics which might sound confusing.
