Medical School Collaboration |
I love the concept of collaboration. It's a good way to exchange ideas, share concepts, compare break thoughts etc. In this context, I was thinking that it would be a great idea if an institution of higher learning finds a collaborating institution so that they can share many common things.
So, in this context, what I had on mind was two leading institutions!
1. Trivandrum Medical College
2. College of Engineering Trivandrum
.
On the same lines, I have heard about twin city collaboration between Trivandrum and Barcelona. To know more about such initiatives, I googled about it. And, what came was a flood of news, negative and criticism about the project. Well, we Malayalees are very skeptical of all things! That's one our bane to our existence.
Anyways, the point of this post is about forming collaboration between institutions, cities, and villages to learn from each other, find good practices which are adopted and bring a positive change.
In this context, I wonder if the two colleges I mentioned ( Trivandrum Medical College, College of Engineering Trivandrum) has some sort of tie-up with other institutions from the western hemisphere.
In case of collaboration between two medical colleges, what all could be learned:
1. Share about the medical practices, processes and latest technologies
2. Find new breakthroughs
3. Students can share the textbooks referred and know about YouTube channels of learning
4. Understand about opportunities for further learning, internship, etc
How can two cities collaborate and learn?
1. Know about garbage sorting, recycling process, or upcyling process
2. How cites build community participation to make it clean
3. Community cleaning mission to save rivers, parks,
4. Gathering private funds or sponsorship for equipment, maintence, etc
5. Sharing data on air quality, climate change
6. Public heath steps
7. Youth development initiatives,
8. Eco-friendly biz ideas .

The comradeship between the two cities continued, when again in response to the Battle of Stalingrad, 830 women in Coventry – led by the subsequent Mayor Emily Smith – had their names embroidered on a tablecloth along with the words "Little help is better than a lot of pity" and sent it, along with money (each donated six pence), to the people of Stalingrad.
