Jawan XXX Rum - Epiphany Moment
Dash of rum before dinner ( Drink Responsibly) With all the bottles bone dry, this is the brand I have to turn on the beginning of the month. Of late, I have been taking a drink before dinner. Not a good thing, but somehow I seem to reach for the glass. A question popped up! Why do military give booze supplies to soldiers? Is it a part of the old English history or it's been there since the old times of kings. Probably, I need to find out more about it. Btw, is there any brew which military used to make in the early years. We have a lot of names on the bottles like Jawan, Officers Club, etc. While drinking Jawan run, I had an epiphany moment! I feel military should distill a single malt and name it Kargil or Siachen, Kardungla pass, Ladak, Madras Sappers,etc. It should be managed by retired army staff, probably make wine, run, brandy and wiskey.
